what we do

Empowering communities
with sustainable
energy

Approximately 90% of children in Sub-Saharan Africa attend primary schools without electricity, severely restricting study hours and limiting access to educational resources (UNICEF, 2021). Emergency Energy supports access-to-education initiatives by promoting clean energy projects that electrify schools, improve learning environments, and enhance academic outcomes.

Clean energy driven food systems

In 2022, around 29.6% of the global population—approximately 2.4 billion people—faced moderate to severe food insecurity (FAO, 2023). Energy poverty worsens this crisis by limiting access to reliable food storage, preservation, and preparation. Emergency Energy addresses these challenges by developing innovative clean energy solutions, including solar-powered markets, mobile greenhouses, and zero-carbon cooking. Through partnerships and a WEFE-Nexus framework, we support solar irrigation and other sustainable initiatives that enhance food production, reduce waste, improve nutrition, and strengthen long-term food security for vulnerable communities.

Globally, 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water (UNICEF & WHO, 2021). Emergency Energy tackles this challenge by providing clean energy solutions for water purification and distribution. We collaborate with local organizations, NGOs, and community leaders to address needs, implement solutions, and ensure sustainable access to clean water, fostering resilience and promoting long-term well-being for vulnerable populations.
