Emergency Energy partners with local organizations to implement clean energy solutions that transform lives and communities. We focus on the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus, delivering renewable energy to health and education sectors and prioritizing underserved groups like refugees, Indigenous communities, women, and youth. Our projects span Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua
Our Projects
- Clean Energy Egg Incubator (Kenya): This incubator is scaling up after a successful pilot with OSIEPA. It will benefit women and children by supporting egg and chicken micro-producers and improving food security
- Health Center Electrification (Kenya): Partnering with BasicD to support electrification and related infrastructure for rural health centers, improving healthcare services in underserved areas
- Olive Grove Micro-Farmers (Morocco): Enhancing water, food, and energy access for 2,000 smallholder farmers, reducing environmental impact, and improving rural livelihoods in the Douar Old Sultane region
- Special Needs School Solar Project (Nicaragua): In planning stages to equip a rural school with solar energy, improving sustainability and access to essential services for 100 students and staff
- WEFE Demonstration Projects (Costa Rica): Focused on women’s small micro-producers and household kitchen gardens in Guanacaste’s dry region, this pilot will enhance water, food, and clean energy access and promote sustainable livelihoods for 500 direct and indirect beneficiaries
